About the Avon Frome Partnership

The Path is owned by Bristol City Council, South Gloucestershire Council and Bath & North East Somerset Council. Some small sections are owned by Sustrans. The work of maintaining and developing the Path is co-ordinated through the Avon Frome Partnership.
 
The Avon Frome Partnership develops projects that focus on improvement of the local heritage, landscape, recreation and wildlife in the Avon and Frome Valleys around Bath, Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Community consultation is an important part of the project. The Avon Frome Partnership is core funded by Bristol City Council, South Gloucestershire Council and Bath & North East Somerset Council. It employs a full time Development Officer: 0117 922 4325.
 
Avon Frome Partnership Logo The Bristol & Bath Railway Path is a priority for the Avon Frome Partnership and a working group was set up in 2000 to bring together all the authorities and user groups involved with the Path. In 2000 a business plan was written for the Path and a draft management strategy has since been written which was completed in 2001.
